Dr. Shawn Fyke D.C.



Born and raised in Waco, Dr. Fyke attended Waco High School, MCC and TSTC. He completed his undergraduate studies at North Lake College and earned his D.C. from Parker College of Chiropractic in Dallas.

While attending Parker College of Chiropractic, Dr. Fyke was elected Class President four times and also held the office of Student Body President for one year. Additionally, Dr. Fyke was the Chairman of the Clinic Peer Review Committee while an Intern at Parker College’s Outpatient Clinic.

Upon graduation, Dr. Fyke received an award for achievement in student leadership and a Presidential Commendation from Dr. Karl Parker, son of Parker College’s founder, Dr. James Parker, Sr.


Family

Dr. Fyke has three sons, Zakery, Nicholas and Trey. The family are members of Robinson Drive United Methodist Church.


TWCC --  Texas Workers' Compensation Commission


Dr. Fyke holds the highest level of treating doctor status granted by the Texas Workers' Compensation Commission (TWCC).

Dr. Fyke also holds “Designated Doctor," (DD) status with the TWCC. In the role of a Designated Doctor, Dr. Fyke is assigned by the TWCC to evaluate injured workers and settle disputes in 18 locations around the State of Texas.

Dr. Fyke correctly answered 97 out of 103 questions for a score of 94.17% when taking the Texas Impairment Rating Skills Assessment Test required by TWCC to become a Designated Doctor.

Dr. Fyke has completed extensive postgraduate training in areas such as Chiropractic technique, Workers’ Compensation Issues, Auto Accident Injury management and Impairment & Disability evaluation.

In 2003, Dr. Fyke founded Hillcrest Chiropractic Center with the goal of providing a comprehensive, yet still conservative approach to wellness and injury focused healthcare in a patient centered environment.

Dr. Fyke enjoys introducing families to the benefits of Chiropractic care for overall health and wellness. He works closely with many of the area’s family practice physicians and surgeons to offer patients the most productive treatments possible for their conditions.
